PERU RODRIGUEZ de MENDOZA GR1. ORGANIC FAIR TRADE

Situated on the eastern slopes of the Andes,  Rodriguez de Mendoza is home to community of the Asociación de Productores y Exportadores de Café Rodriguez de Mendoza. This is a cooperative made up of 356 members who all  run smallholder-sized farms between 1 - 10 ha. The cooperative focuses extensively on growing sustainably, aided by the widely held knowledge that better environmental conditions mean higher harvest yields and a consistent high quality in cup. The area is known for its many forests and streams,  and farmers aim to maintain and improve these constantly.
 
The coffee we've chosen from this region is a definite crowd pleaser - full and smooth, revealing complex notes of hazelnut, sugar cane and a hint of sour apple at the tail
